25 Fresh Ways to Wear Stripes on Your Nails This Season

There is a reason the striped nail pattern keeps coming back. It can go soft in spring, brighter in summer, and darker and moodier in fall and winter just by changing the palette.

In 2026, the strongest versions have been black and white, pastel French tips, punchy neons, color-blocked sets, and stripes mixed with polka dots, fruit nail art or both.

Celebrity manicures have helped push that along too – Kylie Jenner’s black-and-white striped French set (photo above) last summer gave the trend a fresh round of attention.

I tried the trend myself first in milky white with black vertical stripes, and that was enough to get me on board. I also did a pink-and-orange version later, and that one has a very different mood – more summer, more playful, more “book the appointment.”

Let’s get into the inspo for your next mani:

1. Colorful Stripes

Beach towel mani anyone? This is the version for anyone who wants each nail to bring something different. The trick is picking shades that still belong in the same world and give great contrast.

2. Polka Dots & Stripes

Stripes and polka dots are already two major nail trends; mixing them together makes a set everyone is going crazy for right now. Love how here dark red gives contrast to pastel and neutral colors.

3. Black and White Striped Nails

Black and white is one of the biggest search terms in this trend for good reason. Kylie Jenner wore a striped French version last summer, which gave the look another boost, but I went in a different direction and did full vertical stripes across the nail for my client. I have to say, both routes work.

4. Yellow & Blueberries

Hands down one of the most popular designs for spring. Blueberries are a nice break from the usual cherry and strawberry details. Yellow and blue also make the whole thing look brighter right away.

5. Red on Red

Two reds do more than one. The brighter shade lifts the set, and the darker shade gives it more depth. It is a good option once you want color that looks a little richer.

6. Black & Pink Florals

A sheer base changes the whole mood here. The black striping gives the manicure a cleaner frame, and the pink florals add just enough contrast to keep it pretty.

7. Horizontal & Vertical

Horizontal on one nail, vertical on the next, maybe a diagonal in the middle – that change in direction keeps the set more interesting. Pink and dark red also work especially well together.

8. Hot Pink & Neon Orange

If you ask me, neon colors are for the summer, and I’m saving this set under my ‘summer mani inspo.’ A genius move of this artist to combine hot pink with neon orange in stripes and on accent nails plus add a few white dots and florals. Such a vivid fun set.

9. Light Blue & White

Blue and white has that classic warm-weather pull. Also, both shades are among must-try spring nail colors, and my bet is they will be among summer ones too. So this set is a safe bet for the upcoming season.

10. Cherry Nail Art

Cherries keep showing up in nail art for a reason. They are cute, in a dominant red color, and easy to place into any layout. Here, the white-and-pink striping gives them a better stage.

11. Floral Stripes

Ok, please someone give this nail artist a medal because this set made me flip. Instead of doing the classic stripes, these are full-on floral stripes on a soft milky base.

12. Pink & Red

This set is too sweet to look at. A pink base with red stripes broken down with a pink French tip accent is already amazing in color contrast and design, but you have to admit little heart accents are a nice extra detail.

13. Optical French Tip

Some call it optical, some reversed French tip in striping, but the deal is that the French tip stripes are moved into the middle of base stripes so that the entire set gets that graphic mirror effect.

14. Pink & Orange

One more set by little old me. This time instead of doing thin lines,, I went a little thicker and a little glossier, which also turned out amazing. Also, the light pink and coral orange combo for stripes is giving beach vibes.

15. French Tip Mix

Polka dots and stripes duo, but this time in a French nail combination, is so good. Contrast pastels like yellow, pink, and light blue with darker cherry red tones; add silver studs here and there, and you have your French mani for warmer days.

16. White on White

A milky base with white striping gives the orange accent a cleaner backdrop. It is a strong choice for summer, especially if you want fruit nails in a more polished format.

17. Bee-Inspired Stripes

A horizontal striped French manicure in dark brown and pastel yellow is the only correct way to mimic bee pattern on your nails. It’s simple, DIY-friendly mani that looks so good for any season.

18. Pink on Pink

When you want stripes that are not too loud, do a milky pink base and stripes in more opaque bubblegum pink. Add tiny red strawberries on a few accent nails because fruit nail art lifts up every set.

19. Brown & White

The first thought when you hear “brown and white striped mani” is that it is made for cooler weather conditions. While that might be true, we have had a trend ever since the mocha mousse era and now the new cappuccino nail trend to wear browns in any season. So it’s simple: if you like it, wear it.

20. Fruits & Stripes

Stripes and fruit are the whole move for the spring-summer season, and we are so here for it. A white base with blue and pink stripes in different thickness ranges with strawberries and blueberries looks so fresh and trendy.

21. Animal Print Design

This one is louder, in a good way. The stripes add order, the leopard print adds unexpected detail, and the red keeps the whole thing hot.

22. Chrome Accents

Chrome changes the energy immediately, not to mention chrome accents are a strong nail trend throughout the whole year. Add mixed stripe placements, and the manicure lands in a more fashion-forward lane.

23. Glass Nails

I like this look because it combines glass nails with stripe nail art. The sheer red base gives that glossy, see-through glass effect, and the thin red stripes add a clean pattern while letting it still show through.

24. Deep French Tips

To make French tips in this trend more appealing, just do the deep French; just go a little below the smile line so you have more space for nail art, combine stripes and dots, and add chrome studs and a few modern bangle bands to complete the look.

25. Neon & Pastel

This is one of the best spring-to-summer combinations. The pastel shades keep it lighter, and the neon adds the kick. Bright summer pairings and bolder neutral mixes are a part of the striped-nail run in 2026.

How To Do Striped Nails

Since I tried this one myself, here is my honest recommendation: start simple. My milky white set with black stripes was the best first step because it let the line work do the talking. A smooth base matters. A fine liner brush matters. And repeating one detail across the set matters even more – same stripe color, same tip shape, same direction, something.

For spring, I would reach for pastels, milky bases, and stripe-and-dot combinations. For summer, I would go for neons, pink and orange; fruit accents, and color-blocking. For fall, I would move straight into brown, burgundy, olive, navy, gray, and black. Same pattern, different mood. That range is exactly why this trend keeps getting recycled instead of disappearing.
